The winds were light, but the temperature was cool and the air pressure high enough that the night was not ideal for fast times. Still, 8 women improved upon their previous 2010 CFCTT 10km best, with half of those upping their cube-speed (power related) by more than 10%! That number might have been 2 women higher had Lorraine Gignac not lost her chain and Michelle Martin stopped to assist her. They estimated that they lost about 3 minutes with this mishap.
